Grain for sale › Flax for sale
Flax for sale by farms
Loads of flax that farms offer, without the farm’s name or exact place. A buyer bids from a link, without an account; the farm sees every bid side by side and picks one, and only then do the two get each other’s details.
Loads for sale now
No flax loads on the board right now. Buyers: get an email when one goes up. Farms: offer a load.
Have grain to sell?
Offer a load from your GrainPosition book: crop, tonnes, grade and test results, and when it can move. It goes on this board, and to the grain buyers on GrainPosition’s list near you, if there are any. Bids come to you in the app, with whether each buyer holds a Grain Commission licence and what each comes to at your farm after your own trucking cost.
Offer a loadBuy grain? Get the loads near you by email
Pick the crops you buy and how far you go, and you get one email for each load a farm offers in reach. Each email has the link to bid, and a link to stop.
Selling a load: what to know
- What a buyer asks about a load: brown or yellow, and the grade, moisture, dockage. Put in what you know; a buyer who needs more asks, or bids subject to a sample.
- Who buys it: flax processors and special-crop dealers.
- Grain Commission moisture limits: flax grades tough from 10.1% and damp from 13.6%. Official Grain Grading Guide.
- Bushels and tonnes: a bushel of flax is 56 lb, so a tonne is 39.37 bushels. A buyer can bid per tonne or per bushel; the farm sees it in its own unit.
- Buyers on GrainPosition’s list in and near Manitoba who say they buy flax: 12. Each gets an email when a load of it is offered within its reach. They haven’t signed up to GrainPosition: it’s the address each publishes for buying grain.
